This was so beautiful. I love the depth you've given in the growth of the characters, and I've found myself swept up in all of your Z/A fics. So well done.

Thank you so much. ^^ This is one of the highest compliments I've received about my writing. I do my best to make character growth believable, and I am glad that I've managed to submerge you in my Shades universe.

Aw, that last bit with the mistletoe was cute~! I think my favorite moment was Alistair apologizing through the door and Zevran on the other side listening. The image of that is d'awwtastic. :3

Oh, that's definitely my favorite scene. Particularly since Alistair is about to cry and Zevran keeps pushing.

:)) That was great, really. (write more, more, more of them!!!)
Heh, they are like newlywed, can't keep their hands from each other :)) coupled with avoidance of "relationship issue" it's adorable.

Also, I understand Alistair here, but what he doesn't get is that he needs to learn to say "I'll think about it" instead of just immediate "no" to such propositions. And when he does, there will be no manipulations to save the situation in extremis. Good thinking from Zev there :) especially considering the circumstances. Very character revealing, actually, 'cause it implies the level of detachment that is so ingrained that he maintains it even when he really cares about the partner.

And... can I hope for a redone Awakening with Alistair and Zevran??? oh, please....

Well, it won't /quite/ be Awakening, but there will definitely be a few things going down. And yes, I was trying to go for that level of detachment, and his instinctive ability to maneuver politically. There is a reason he was such a promising Crow, after all; and Alistair /has/ pointed out in the game that while Zevran fights well, he's not some master of combat. (In Shades, I justify that after fighting hordes of darkspawn and sparring with Alistar/Sten/Oghren frequently, he got a lot better.) So, I'm falling back on the fact that he must have been quite brilliant tactically instead and trying to convey some of that.

"it won't /quite/ be Awakening, but"
Squeeee! :))) I *ache* to see everyone's reaction to Zev, if you will retake some of the Awakening characters.

"he must have been quite brilliant tactically instead "
Completely agree.

...I have a whole fic in my head of Zevran as a head of Crows and a de-facto king of Antiva (as a long in the future sequel to my story "A good argument"), and in it he is very good, and it doesn't feel as ooc :) Will probably never write it, too much politics and no relationships at all, so will be boring to read...
