Cat Food Dilemna

With all the reporting going on in the media about Chinese using melamine (a plastic) as fertilizer which was then apparently used as an ingredient in every pet food in the universe, I have been worried about my cats because they have been throwing up lately from their Purina (I tried about three different cat foods and finally found one that wasn't too bad, but I had to water it down for them), and Saturn has developed this little bald spot on his side that I can't tell if it's because of him chewing on it (I've never caught him) or something worse.

You probably remember how the food recall was first limited only to wet foods... well, until Hills Science Diet realized they used the same ingredient. And if they did, who knows who else did? The FDA refused to tell and it took a full month previously for companies to admit there was a problem with even the wet foods, meanwhile pets were getting sick and dying.

Anyway, I decided I was going to find the cats a natural cat food that was made with human-grade ingredients, and I have. After some initial trepidation, they seem to really like this Blue Buffalo Spa Select Cat food. And I stopped watering it down to see if they could eat it without barfing, and they are actually doing good with it now, I have not seen them yak once. And it's even the LIGHT food, not the full-fat food (they need the diet stuff because they're a little heavy).

I haven't been able to find it in stores but it may be sold in Petsmart or somewhere. Still, it's the first cat food I've found my cats seem to like, and it's made with quality ingredients (human grade, in some cases better than the foods we eat - like the chicken doesn't have hormones, antibiotics, or steroids - I don't think you can say that about KFC, for example).
