Beautiful day
I've been having a crap couple of days, and I needed to cheer myself up so I could get back into the game. My Powerbook G4 is at the Apple store, getting fixed, with all my music in it, so I went on YouTube, and here's the best of what I found.
1. The Danes have their own plumber, but unlike Joe, he earned his fame with his talent. This is Kurt Nilsen, singing U2's Beautiful Day.
2. A shout out to Canada. Allison Crowe does her version of Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah. Just beautiful.
3. And finally, what with trying to find a job in this economy and Prop 8 passing, I've been dispirited and lacking in faith. Nicaraguan-American Tony Meléndez plays guitar and sings a few bars of Let it Be. It's super rough (he was on a talk show) but today, just the thing.
