Well, I deleted killboxs_house, on the theory that if we haven't used it in 3 years (and never really used it to begin with), it's kind of just taking up space. I also cleaned up my profile a little, and in doing so, dropped all my already-deleted friends. If you find that I have just deleted you, it was almost certainly an accident, so let me know. I just

A worry doll.



An old, old one. I've had it since I was 8, I think. It's pretty worn. I don't really see them around here (vs. in NM), so I imagine people would go right to voodoo. :)

The note is an excellent idea, though!

Neat! I'd never heard of worry dolls.

They come in groups, in little cloth bags. You're supposed to hold one and kind of wish your worry on to it - then you put it under your pillow while you sleep, and it's supposed to soothe the worry away.

I think as a ritual for ridding yourself of nighttime worrying (especially if you're like me and tend to run through every single thing that you have to worry about, as part of the going-to-sleep process), it works really well!
