Speaking of preganancy; I've been thinking about it a lot lately. Every time I see a baby I think I want one of those! I'm not the sort to get "accidentally" pregnant, and my bf isn't sure if he wants kids at all, but knows he doesn't want any right now, so I guess I'll just have to wait...
It's freaky how prevalent this is! People I know who never wanted babies hit 27-28 and started craving them... there's some serious truth to the biological clock phenomenon.
Yes. In a non-specific future kind of way, you know, I'm not looking for babies within the next couple years or anything. But that desire has definitely contributed to my desire to be generally healthier, quit smoking, etc.
Well, if that's something you don't talk about, perhaps you might consider adding it to the list of things you should blog about. It's nice that you're trying to make yourself healthier BEFORE you start trying to make babies - I think all too many people wait until they feel they must to try to fix their unhealthy habits.
Ugh, god, nobody needs to hear about how I want babies. Everyone wants babies, it's nothing special. I'll blog about when I'm ready to HAVE babies. :P
I think I'm aware of how difficult it is for me to make new habits, so I figure I should start as early as possible. Plus there are certainly other things going on, my back surgery in 2006, making joint decisions w/ R to be healthier, all that stuff. Also, I promised myself when I was a wee lass that I'd quit smoking before I turned 30, so...
True enough. The main reason I don't talk about wanting to have kids very often is that the idea of mini-Gabes running around is terrifying enough as it is.
watching my uncles and aunts try desperately (and fail, with the exception of one child) to have children after marrying late, i was far more willing to try and stick it out at an earlier age. but it's grueling work. seriously. and the demands keep changing. you're forced to evolve with the kid. and every one is different.

I know this isn't supposed to be about YOU, but are you finding yourself longing for the pitter-patter of (non-feline) feet lately?
