An interesting feature of Facebook is the "People You May Know" page. When you click on it, it shows you people that you have two or more common friends with. Of course, since a lot of your friends run in the same social circles, it's common to find people who know two of your friends from the same chevra.
Yet, every so often, I find someone who knows two people that I know from totally different circles. For example, one of the people I found today is a friend of a cousin of mine in Buffalo, and a friend of Lisa's cousin in New Jersey. Another person is a friend of both Gil Student and an old 2-4th grade classmate from New Jersey. None of these people, however, are friends with each other. :)
