On frustration and anger
Well, I'm frustrated. I haven't talked to the wife in a couple days and it's really driving me batty. I don't like the idea of staying apart. The more you do something the more you get used to it, and I don't like the idea of her being used to not having me around. More paranoia today.... wondering if she was just leading me on the whole time in regards to her even being interested in reconciling. Perhaps that's the kind of lie that people tell... I don't know what kinds of lies people tell anymore. She apparantly lied about wanting to come to the game on thursday, so perhaps she was leading me on about other things too. More frustration and worry.
The anger.... well, that's directed elsewhere. I smelled pot again in my basement, and that just sets my blood to boil. I warned our neighbors last time that I'd call the cops, and I did. But I was amazed at the response! I figured they'd come in, not really give a damn and just scare the kids. Actually they're great neighbors other than the pot smell, and that's only been twice in a month. But that's twice a lifetime more than I'm willing to put up with. So I called the cops and they sent three cops and a canine unit over. Now the dog didn't come in... which I'm glad for, I don't want to deal with a dog, but all three came in, checked out the basement, and the one who seemed more experienced with this (she rode with the dog it seemed) said it was really really obvious, even though the first guy couldn't smell anything... and that it didn't smell like they were smoking it, but rather growing it. The dog may have to come in at some point... it sounds like they're planning a rather significant bust.
And I just called them with a thought.... that I go down there all the time.. and don't smell anything, so I don't think they're growing anything down there. The smell today is significantly different than a few hours ago... so perhaps they're cutting stuff down there. Which means they'd probably want to move sooner instead of later, because if you're cutting enough stuff to produce that level of stink, then I can't imagine you'd just keep it around... it will probably be gone pretty soon... maybe sooner instead of later. I'd assume it will be gone in the morning. So... maybe we get a show tonight. It's a good distraction, and always good to see druggies busted.
