[More or less a very random and sudden turning on of the video. All you can really see is Haru, though, god knows why, but it's definitely Itoshiki's frequency, so--Ah! Here's his voice now!]

Haru, I've been noticing you haven't been paying attention in class

[...] Specifically, you're falling asleep.

I'd pay more attention if you'd reward me ( Read more... )

Do you often have similar trouble disciplining students?

[what's that, he sounds amused at your expense? well...]

Ah, it's not the discipline I'm used to, it's the behavior.

[He'll be ignoring that tone of yours]

Your students have a tendency to repeatedly exhibit undesirable behavior?

To my dismay: yes.

Perhaps it is your teaching methods that are the problem, then.

And what are the methods you use?

Due to lack of supplies I've been having to teach my students out of a cook book, and whittling our pencils hasn't exactly proven effective for some of us. and motivation

... You have not been able to find other supplies in the library? Perhaps if you varied your curriculum, your students would not act up so frequently.

I only teach Japanese and English classes, variation would mean I taught other classes. well, arguably I teach cooking as well but... that's not the intention of the class.

You can have variation by using different materials for the same subject, you realize.

Unfortunately, there aren't many books that have more than five copies in either of the libraries as far as I've looked. The literature here has seen better days.

That is troublesome. There is nothing you can use besides the books?

Not exactly. Going outside is out of the question due to monsters, so book work is really all I can do with them right now.

Have you considered putting the cook book to practical application?

If you knew my class, you wouldn't let them by a flame if your life depended on it.
