I feel so ridiculously festive! We've got the decs up, our christmas dinner is on friday and we watched elf yesterday. I love christmas.
Soo, to recap:
My birthday was awesome. The karioke bar turned out to be ridiculously expensive, so we went out for a nice meal instead and then went to wire. the fire alarm going off cut the night a tad short at 2am, but i was hammered and so i was happy to go home.
The friday of that week I went for a meal with my family to celebrate mine, my sisters and grandad's birthday's together...that was really nice too, except my sister upset my mum a bit. She's so selfish, sometimes i could kill her. basically, my dad bought my mum an opal ring for her 40th birthday, about 5 years ago. It was really expensive. now for some reason, my mum left this ring on the mantelpiece, a few weeks ago, probably because she was cleaning. My sister, without asking who it belonged to, simply took the ring and started to wear it. Obviously my mum thought she'd lost it, panicked, was even too scared to tell my dad: and then, at this family meal, there was vic, wearing the ring, having never even mentioned she took it. Mum obviously was mad at her, she'd panicked for days about having lost it, and vic had in effect stolen it and not thought that it could be valuable. Vic, instead of apologising, went ballistic, and arguement followed and there was a slight tension for a while...mum looked really upset, vic got really spiteful, and i just sat between them with my grandparents, embarassed, angry at vic, and feeling so sorry for my mum. vic actually puts her through hell. nothing new there, then.
anyway, moving on from my horrible sister.
london was amazing. we went down on the saturday morning (train at 8:40, stupidly early lol) and then spent the afternoon at harrods. We bought abbie a harrods bear for her birthday, and then matt bought me one for christmas as he knows I love them! we bought a beautiful handpainted bauble for our christmas tree (we're buying the first tree for matts house together this christmas) and I got one for mum too, as she loves unique baubles.
that evening we had a nice meal in covent garden before walking to the theatre. chicago was brilliant, so professionally done, and matt loved it too! it was so different to the film, such a different spin on it, I absolutely loved it. we were drinking wine all the way through, so decided to head to bar afterwards, got a little bit drunk and then had amazing sex in the hotel room. what more could i want! lol...
We spent sunday in westminster, walking around the houses of parliament and down the thames, then had lunch in the slug and lettuce before getting the train home. We had a perfect weekend (well, except for a hotel cockup - our room in the 4 seasons was flooded so we were spent to the two star hotel over the rd - not as nice, but ok), we always do in london. it seems to always bring us closer together and we always come home all loved up.
since my birthday things have been relatively normal...work (everyone is sooo stressed lol), going out, cooking...there was a slight drama the other week involving rachel, viki, me and lauren (where rachel had to go to a and e and lauren proved herself to be a selfish, spiteful, immature, pathetic bitch)...but i dont wanna go into it. put it this way, lauren never properly apologised and has generally gone down in my estimations to the point where i dont want to make any effort with her whatsoever, at the moment i'm managing civil. she seems oblivious to the effects of her actions.
we're all getting ready to move out for christmas... i leave on saturday, a day early, as Matt's work xmas do is saturday night. we're going to the dog races in doncaster, i've never done anything like it before but apparently its really fun. Friday night we're doing a 3 course christmas dinner, and we dont even have to cook! tej and matt have volunteered as chefs for the evening, as they're both kitchen nazis, so we are in charge of cleaning. fine by us! It should be a fun night.
I officially completed my direct line training on saturday - it felt like were we leaving school or something, we bought presents for our training team and generally felt quite sad to leave the training bubble, its been a fun 10 weeks. Tonight i officially join my team, woop...me and viki(wooler, not housemate) are together thank god and I know some guys from the othert training group too, who i'll be working with. A guy already in that team, matt, added me on facebook, which was really sweet, so i dont feel quite as nervous now.
Tonight after work is the royal park for karioke - I love it. rach and soup are coming too, potentially rhi, so it should be fun. i cant believe semester 1 is over already - but semester 2 should be even better, nicer timetable, less working days at D/l (not the silly training hrs lol) and then in the easter hols we're all going to amsterdam for Jane's birthday, I might even get to book a summer holiday with matt, too!
anyway, I need to go get something to eat before i go to work. 6-9, then straight to the pub!

p.s. i CANNOT WAIT to move in with matt, i really miss him at the moment.
