I realized last night that I don't think I've updated in over a month. I've slacked not only in the lack of updating, but I haven't set eyes on LJ at all in that time. I'm posting this morning because I was pulled back in to answer a question and realized how very long it had been.

I'm not even going to try to catch up on friends posts today, because the volume of work I have to do is staggering. If I fully let myself realize just how much has to be done I'm sure I'll break down and sob, so I'm working on it bit by bit. Tomorrow is three weeks worth of Thursday Morning Meeting of Doom because I wasn't available one week, and then he was on vacation the next. Mr. zet was out of town both weeks and called me this past Friday night to tell me Mr. Mentor/Partner called him last Thursday to find out why I didn't send stuff. He assumed I was sick, I assumed he was the normal kind of person who doesn't have meetings on vacation. Either way, I'm gonna get my ass reamed tomorrow. Joy.

I've finally begun to freak over preperations for the Wedding Of The Century (TM). I need to find some appropriate shoes, a suitable white shirt and I really need some more jeans and stuff. Oh, and gifts. But those are much more fun to shop for, aren't they? I've got an appointment Friday afternoon with a "Color Director" at the salon that saved my hair from the horrible hair cut debacle last year. I spoke with him a couple months ago about what I needed done (bleach and blue) and he told me to talk to him before hand so he can pick up the dye he reccommends. He doesn't use Manic Panic, Inkworks or Jerome Russel so I'm very curious to know what he'll be using. The glitch is that I've left two messages at the salon and wonderboy has yet to call me back. I know I can't just show up Friday and expect them to have the blue on hand, so I'm starting to worry. I'm thinking this time I'll bleach the hair at the crown of my head (say, from the ears up?) and maybe have the bottom layer dyed a brownish-black. When I wash it the blue should spread so the top will stay bright and the underneath will be a darker blackish-blue. I'm can't believe I can't find a single picture from NY that shows the way my hair used to be so I can just say, "Here. Make this happen.".

Anyway, back to work. I love and miss you all (well, I might not love all of you, but the ones I do know who they are!) and I promise I'll get caught up and be better friend soon.
