Yay for Warhammer
Got the game today, got my character to a whooping level 5 then decided im too sick to really play games at the moment. Game seems pretty cool though, public quests sure seem interestingly hard at the end. At the final stage for this one I did, a dragon comes, and yeah.. definately need a group of people to take that sucker down I got eaten pretty fast. After me and two others kept getting owned a bunch of peeps came and we took him down. Was pretty fun and cool. I also tried out the tier 1 battleground for the dark elves. I think only Josh is gonna laugh at this one but there is two capture points. If your side holds both for ten seconds, "Khaine" basically blows up everything nearby those points on the enemy side. First time I saw it I was like, what the dillio. Next time I learned I should run. Either way, battlegrounds seem pretty cool, they bump you up on a minimum level too so I got bumped to level 8 to participate in it. Seems pretty fun and painless to be a part of. Doesn't look like anyone atm when I played was really a healer so we got owned by the empire but whatevs. All I know is I blew up people, and myself for that matter. You can't beat implosion goodness.
Graphics : Better than WoW, but not super duper omfg material.
Stability : Works great, no real slowdown to speak of even in PvP so far. No crashes.
Audio : Very cool soundtracks and you hear battle type sounds everywhere you go, differing in your region.
Gameplay : Easy to play, take some time to master your character. I keep forgetting for example I can implode myself the more dark magic I do and haven't paid attention to the "oh snap" meter.
Player count : Shit tons, some servers are even full right now. Read somewhere 1.5 million people pre-ordered in NA alone, so once tommorow starts and everyone picks up the game normally, all I gotta say is crap on a stick.
Party system : You automatically join groups when you queue to go into a battleground. You automatically also see any group in the region your in and can join them easily. Also states whether they are focusing on the public quests, normal quests, grinding, or PvP. Very easy system to get people together.
IF anything could be better so far that I've seen, it's the graphics. I'm not one of those guys where I couldn't play the game without it, gameplay is first and this game has it. But if they ever upgraded it to look more smooth... I wouldn't mind : p.
