Goooood mood.
Had a pretty profitable lunch shift at the restaurant today, it wasnt stressful or tiresome, just in and out, how i like it.
Jenny came in for lunch today, seeing her unexpectedly is a very nice treat.
had a nice chat with Abby at the start of her shift and the end of mine.
came home and played some WoW, lvled to 62 finally.
i got a book in the mail today that i had been wanting for a few months now, its called "Turn left at Orion". Its a book about using small telescopes to their full advantage and its amazing, i took it with me tonight when i went stargazing and saw a larger variety than i have before without the book.
I was able to see some cool double stars(two stars that look like like just one until you use a scope)
I also got my first glimpse at another galaxy, M13
seeing pictures from space shuttles and from giant space based telescopes is one thing but actually being able to see it with your own eyes is just breathtaking. Once i saw M13 in my telescope i just kinda sat back on the hood of my car and looked up, thinking about the massive scope of the universe.kinda blew my own mind.
As i was staring off into space(literally) a car drove up right next to where i was standing and a very well kept man got out of his car, i introduced myself and asked him if he wanted to see Saturn. He seemed interested and we began talking while i got the planet in view, i learned that he was the owner of the property that i unknowingly had been trespassing on for like the past couple months.
i never knew Sligh hill was private property, i just thought they didnt want kids doing drugs up there.
The man who's name is James Gold loved seeing Saturn and seemed interested in what i was doing, before he left he told me that i had 100% permission to be there whenever i want and enjoy the nice view of the city and the nice view of the night sky. he said that next time he came by he wanted to see something else and i agreed. He took down my name, shook my hand and got back in his Mercedes.
i spent another half hour there after he left, searching for things like globular clusters and diffuse nebulae with little luck, im sooo excited now that i have permission to be there, i still would have went regardless but now i dont have to worry about tickets for trespassing!
so pretty good day, i work a double tomorrow and then jenny and myself are going to the Tropical Heatwave on saturday thatll be sooo fun!
