Yeah, I really enjoyed the weekend and all that I did...mostly.
Friday, A was still at home because his Dad had "mandatory overtime", I never know if I should trust this or not but whatever. When I got home from work, we went to KFC for their buffet, I thought A would eat more but at least he ate healthy (pineapple, corn, coleslaw -ignoring all the sugar- mac and cheese and all the other usual stuff. Stop at Target for on sale TP and home before we both went to sleep.
Saturday, off to work until 2pm and A was gone by then. His father picked him up before I went to work as I had asked him to do. After work a friend picked me up to go to a cabin of her childhood friend, they were cabin neighbors. We took the boat to the lake and hung out most of the day. Exhausted we went to the "Palmer House" another childhood haunt for dinner and then returned home. Once home, I wanted to go to some friends of mine's house...they were out of town and knew that I was hoping to go skinny dipping in their little pool. We took off around midnight and made it to the house. The water was so cool and refreshing, the mosquitos were NOT. It didn't take me too long to decided that I was done. BBBBBBBBBBZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz............ Home again and now said friend was too tired to drive back to her house (said friend is former gf) and you've always got to offer a bed that late at night and she accepted. I also knew that I could encourage her cause she'd likely be willing so I ended up sleeping on the edge of the bed and moving everytime she seemed to be reaching out. We haven't been together for more than a year and a half and I've been very clear about being "just friends". This was kind of annoying but what would you do?
Sunday, up to get ready to have breakfast with another friend at Maria's. Shared the famous corn pancakes and off on her bike. Gawd, I love riding on the back of someone's motorcycle! I don't know what it is, but it's one of the most relaxing things I've found. I completely zone out and get lost in space. After a nice ride, stop for yummy ice tea and back to my car. On the way home, I always check if my buddy R is home, she was...stop for a nice visit and home again.
A's back and hopefully, I'll crank up the grill and cook up the food that didn't get eaten on Saturday.
Tomorrow I get to sleep in a little because A's got a ortho appointment.
Life is good.
