Following a question from tvor I’ve typed out the 30 “cinemas best kept secrets” list from Empire. I don’t agree with it - but if anyone has a lost classic they want to point me at - be my guest.

Film buffs only beyond this point. )

About bloody time someone mentions Jim Jarmusch! I loved Dead Man! Simply loved it! "My name is William Blake, this is my poetry" - !! Loved it.

That came out the summer The Last Supper came out, both films I saw at the Haymarket around 6 times each. -drool- I love Jarmusch's cinematography, the opening bit with the train wheels and such - oooooooooooooh lovely lovely lovely movie!

Meet the Feebles was always a favourite, they played it on Sky Movies at around 3am a lot for around two years, I always stayed up to watch it and then went to sleep and had really funky dreams.

Cube plain scares me. Jamie won't watch it with me becuase I always start on some babble about psychology and pre-empting behaviour under strained circumstances and stuff. Brilliant movie, though. Scares the bejesus out of me.

Subway is also an excellent movie. My friend used to put it on every time we got stoned at his house (I've seen this movie upward of 20 times...) and it took me 6 months to see it sober. It was actually much better clear headed...

I think The Last Supper should get a mention. I love that movie.

I think last supper is too well known to be "lost"? But it's a hoot. We all love Mr Dafoe.

(I have Subway on dvd if you get the urge again)

Ooh...of course me actually getting the DVD would have to include us actually meeting up...I shan't hold my breath, but it would be lovely to see it again.

Um...Last Supper didn't have Willem Dafoe in it.

It's this one I was talking about -

I know - I just like saying how much we all love Willem Dafoe!

Ok so for some reason my brain read last Supper as last temptation of Christ, and I got the two films morphed into one in my head. A group of 30somthing liberals invite jesus round for a meal - and kill him.

That would be such a brilliant movie...give him the green bottle!!

We should do a back to back movie night, Last Supper and Last Temptation and try to morph it better.
