I'm trying oh so very hard not to get irritated tonight. So far, it's not working very well. The same things happen every week like clockwork, and I let it bother me the same way every week. I need to learn to just let it go, but I have grudge issues.
Work is bugging me too, but in the interest of the good mood I'm trying to promote, I'm going to avoid talking about that too.
Tomorrow, though, I'm going to go to a horse rescue for an open house. They're always looking for volunteers to help out, apparently, and I might think about volunteering there for a couple hours a week. I'd really like to be able to spend more time around some horses. I can't afford more lessons at the moment, but I can donate time to these babies.
http://www.horsenethorserescue.org/index.html is the website for the farm.
Possibly going to a car show tomorrow too. I have to decide if it's worth hanging out with my parents. Right now that doesn't seem like a good idea, but the morning always changes things. Definitely hanging out with friends Sunday to see The Karate Kid. Haters gonna hate, but I really like Jackie Chan.
Carnival season is upon us too. I went to New Windsor carnival the other night. New Windsor is small and sort of pathetic in comparison to most of the others, but we won squirt guns and plastic swords at the duckie game. The lady that was running the duckie game was laughing at us and our enthusiasm. Because the duckie game is for small children and we are in our twenties. She was awesome, though, and was totally playing along with us instead of being derisive about it. She gave us a bottle of water to fill our guns and a mission: shoot her husband. I'm proud to say I accomplished this mission without assisstance. With the remaining water, we of course got into a water gun fight. Occasionally throughout the night we would have a sword fight too. What is the point of a carnival if not to have fun, right?

I finally finished the Black Jewels trilogy. They got better through each book. Anne Bishop is a fabulous writer. Daemon and Lucivar are fabulous. I love Daemon because I love villain types, even if he isn't 100% bad. Lucivar grew on me, though, in a way I wasn't expecting. I really, really liked him. I feel like I can't give too much of a summary because there was just so much book. *laughs* I highly reccommend it, though.
