(no subject)
Christmas tiiiime is heeeere. Well, almost. I'm done all my shopping, now jus have to do all the wrapping. OH NO WAIT. I forgot one last present for Kelly. I'll need to stop at Wal Mart. Anyway, shopping 99% done.
Kelly and I went shopping at the Hagerstown outlets the other day. It was some awesome shopping. I got a couple new shirts for work and some stuff for Angel for Christmas. Kelly found my Christmas presents, but I'm supposed to forget about that. Kelly's friend John was supposed to go with us, but he ended up not. I was EXTREMELY grateful for that. I'm not too fond of John, truth be told. I guess I just don't know him that well or whatever, but that's the way it is. It was also very cold. It's a stip mall sort of deal, so you're outside a good portion of the time. We managed to have tons of fun anyway.
Me: *singing along with the outlet's music* Last Christmas I gave you my heart, and the very next day you gave it awaaay. *turns to Kelly* Why would you do that to me, Kelly? That hurts me deeply.
Kelly: Psh, you didn't give me your heart. Don't lie to me.
Me: But it's so much fun.
Kelly: Freak.
We went into this calendar store, and there were a few stuffed animals just chilling on the floor. I joked with Kelly that the alligator was going to bite her ankles, making the guy behind the counter laugh. He got further laughs when we came to the monkey. Oh the monkey. It was lying on the floor; Kelly went over to set it up straight. Monkey started laughing and rolling around on the floor. We thought that was quite hilarious, so every time we walked past it, one of us would pick it up to start it off again.
And then yesterday I got this text message:
Kelly: You would agree that you are my lord and master, right?
Me: Uh sure...Who's asking? Are they trying to usurp my claim?
Kelly: Oh, no, they would never do such a thing.
Kelly was hanging out with her boyfriend at the time. I have to wonder what sort of conversation they were having. (I am a good master to Kelly. She is happy under my rule. XD )
Tonight was fun. I got to see my friend Kim for the first time in ages. Kim was my best friend in high school. She moved to Florida for college, like, four years ago, and came home to visit this Christmas. If there's any friend I owe something to, it would be Kim. I would be an entirely different person had I not met her. We've both changed since high school, and that's to be expected, of course. We still enjoyed ourselves, and things were mostly the same, but there were differences that I noticed. It's not a bad thing. It just is. It was nice seeing her, though. I hope for her sake the snow while she's here will be good snowman building snow.
SPEAKING OF THAT SNOW
Oh gods, it's supposed to snow, like, 12 - 20 inches or some shit. It's already started flurrying, and it's been cold enough this past week or so, that it's going to stick right away. Zerox does not go anywhere when it snows, so Mom's going to have to drive me to work tomorrow. And yes, unless the whole bank closes, I have to go to work tomorrow. I can't call out unless it is100% impossible for me to get to work. If I didn't have to go anywhere, I'd be okay with the snow. But no. Not when I have to go out in it. It's so damn inconvenient.
Anyway, this week has been pretty fabulous. I'm looking forward to it continuing into next week. Christmas is coming!
