Alright, so, for the last 3 months I've been stuck in a little place somewhere between BFE and "You gots a purdy mouth..." It's this little piece of hell known as Bogue Chitto MS. I went to this wasteland because my mother was having a major operation and her care-taker had recently fell and shattered his leg. The military gave me 90 days to help them out until he could get back on his feet.
Little cell signal...No computer...Closest gas station is 30 mins away...boo. Not to mention that there is no one remotely close to my own age within a reasonable visiting distance. I survive on late night calls to friends on the home phone and the few hours twice a week that we're in Jackson.
But it's almost all over. Yes, this little trip delayed my divorce some, but, to be honest, it was worth the break. Speaking of which, she still hasn't found a job. Can some please explain to me the logic in asking for custody of a child when you don't even make (any)enough money to support yourself? Anybody? I'm open to suggestions b/c, frankly, I'm stumped. She told me the other day that, according to her math, she would be getting $800 a month between child support and alimony. Do they award alimony in no fault divorces?
Anywho, I'm off to see my baby really soon. I hope she hasn't forgotten who daddy is. I do miss her something awful.
