Living in a Time Machine

Dec 15, 2009 19:37

My alarm went off yesterday morning to "Your Woman" by White Town on the radio. For a moment I thought I woke up in 1997 and was very confused.
A little bit later, in the car, I was flipping through the stations and came across "Gel" by Collective Soul. I wasn't sure whether to go to work or to class!
I believe I may be slowly warping time and space...by the end of the week I may have fully returned to the mid-90s. This has led me to contemplate how my life would be different if I could go back to age 16 as the person I am now. What would I change? What impact would it have on the present? Imagine if you could re-live a year, or even a week, of your youth with the assurance that only THAT time frame would be changed and you would be more or less leading the same life today. Would my attempts at living a fuller teenage life work out or would I still wind up sitting alone in my room listening to Black Sabbath's Live Evil and playing Link To The Past for the 27th time?
