Things have been busy lately! Last Sunday we celebrated packing in nearly a decade of retail at QBs, along with a little WrestleMania 23. The rasslin' was alright; a couple of solid matches, and a few real stinkers. I think RAW the next night may have been a better show all-around. At least I had fun, good to catch up when some folks I hadn't seen in a while. And of course, it's just good hanging out with the people I do see fairly often.
Then my car stereo face fell out of my pocket and I didn't realize it until I got home. But I got it back now, so all is well.
Most of the week has been catching up on emails, LJ and Facebook. I've been pretty lazy.
The other day I went for forklift training, which was about 3 hours of boring stuff I mostly knew already, followed by a driving test I could've done in my sleep. Nice to know that even after 2 years of not being on a machine I can still just hop on and go.
Last night we had a very late dinner with Stas & Steph, followed by cocktails and convo. Then we all pretty much passed out watching the Christopher Walken SNL DVD. I was a tad hungover when I woke up, but after a brief late-morning nap I'm doing fine.
Nicole's been on a roll with food this week; just about everything she's made has been quite tasty. And with me being so picky, that's impressive! Brie-stuffed chicken was very good, last night's Moroccan stew was surprisingly enjoyable, and lunch was a delectable chicken salad sandwich. I've decided I like chicken salad sandwiches, and wonder why you don't really see them on a lot of menus. When was the last time you had a chicken salad sandwich at a restaurant?
We also learned that sometimes, eggplant explodes when you cook it. And that makes the oven kinda messy.
And if you need a laugh,
check out this site. I don't know how Matt found it, but I had to share.
