Crazy
Feeling not so organized these days (even more than usual). I was hoping that I’d get my act together in the post holiday season but I feel even crazier in some ways. Maybe because work suddenly became crazy busy for me?
On Tuesday I crashed into a building. With my car. Yes I did. Fortunately the building was very soft (it is this structure right in front of where I park) and the damage to the car seems small (some scratches on the bumper mostly) but one of the panels is a little misplaced so I’m taking the car to a shop today to see if they can fix it. Hopefully I don’t need to order a new panel :/ Yeah, not my greatest moment as a driver. Also now there is a hole in the building (I told you it was soft). Hopefully they will tear it down soon (it is not used for anything).
Big news- Josie is potty trained! Well, during the day- she still wears a diaper at night because I’m not ready to deal with night stuff yet (she is also still in a crib and part of me thinks it’s a little unfair to take her diaper off at night when she can’t get out of bed to pee herself). The experience was a little stressful but mostly really positive. I used this book http://www.jamieglowacki.com/ which I highly recommend. Also I was lucky- I think that I caught Josie at a time when she was very ready to make this transition. Right now we are 1 week + with no accidents. I am super proud of her! The only issue is that she won’t do toilets in public restrooms - I’m going to try bringing on of those little potty rings that fits into toilets (the ones we have at home have ladders attached so I need to buy a new one or borrow Aviva’s)- maybe that will help.
Feeling like a huge mess but I don’t have much of the winter blues (go go January thaw!) so that’s cool. Mostly feeling really anxious about things. Sadly I have no relaxing vacation to look forward to. Also I need to gear up for several months of Wade studying which is always a bummer.
More going on- my sister is planning a wedding in October which is cool. Hoping more fun winter stuff pops up. Honestly I am totally ready for spring already. Maybe I am not upstate NY material- ha ha.
