Title: Nobody You've Ever Seen
Words: 101
What it's about:
This song is about a man who dreamt his whole life, the people he's met, the things he's seen, the memories he has. The person who this song is in the prospection of is someone who is very close to him (probably a parent or a sibling). The man was in a coma -- on life support -- for most of his life and has just woken up six months ago. He's taken home and he finds a room that he likes -- a room that he recognizes from his psuedo-life and claims it as his own.

Nobody You've Ever Seen

You've been sitting unsupported for six months
And you look so much more at home
In this room that you found and called your own.
With the lights turned off and door here closed.

Everything, you say, isn't the way it's supposed to be.
You have the windows shaded and the sun blocked out.
And papers on the floor with names and dates and --

You won't look at me, but I look at you and --
And you say names you've never heard
and talk about things you've never seen.

But you look so much more at home
in this room that's now your own.

It's been so long since I've talked to you.
The things, you say, aren't the way they used to be.
You look at me like I'm nobody you've ever seen.

You've been sitting unsupported for six months
And you look so much more at home
In this room you found and called your own.
With the lights turned off and the doors closed.
And you look at me like nobody you've ever seen.
