It's not REALLY scary, but there's places where it's very unsettling. The game itself has a lot of fanmade backstories to things, like Madotsuki's past and why she can enter the dream world and such.
You like "Tales of"? Bandai Namco made a Keroro RPG based off of ToH's system. You get the entire platoon as the party and I'm so planning on maining Kururu 8Bc
Nah, Bandai Namco has kinda given up on Tales in North America for now. None of the like... 12 portable Tales games have come out over here (except the GBA port of Phantasia and the first Radiant Mythology game) and Sgt. Frog isn't really popular enough for them to make the exception.
I'm just importing it. Supposedly it's easy enough to navigate on it's own.
But seriously, I loved playing through that game. It was creepy as hell and there's some really rare random events that can scare the fuck out of you.
