[He was FINALLY free from that eight hour prison, and not a moment too soon. His stomach was starting to make noises that he could swear sounded like they were coming from that Dairy downtown. Getting food was his top priority, but... he had pretty much devoured everything in his ( Read more... )

[A small chuckle.] I do teach linguistics in the High School, but I may be able to tutor for other subjects, depending on your interest level. As for that... Not against the other Servants, at least not usually. Some of them don't get along, but their Masters should be sensible enough to hold them back from fighting recklessly between themselves.

[A lightly raised eyebrow.] It's true that the Grail should at least be present for any of you to even exist here. The magus serves as a link, but by him or herself, it should be extremely difficult to keep a Servant without help in the real world. Most of them don't have that big a prana supply, but this world bypasses that rule. I've met a few who became Masters here before: there really is no added strain to maintaining a Servant. ...Or are you talking about something else? [The clear blue eyes lock into his; she's not asking for more explanation, but just a confirmation. WOULD YOU BE A BAD PERSON AND LIE ABOUT THIS, AVENGER?]

There is two conditions for a pair to be formed here: the Master needs to have regained their magic circuits, and the Servant must have regained his or her Servant Status. To my knowledge so far, before the abilities were taken away again after the incident at the Dairy, only Gilgamesh and Archer have regained this. The previous Lancer also had a Master, but memories and abilities have been reset for him, since his droning and return. There may be more available than you think.

You're a teacher and a priestess? How can you handle being so busy? I'd probably drop dead from exhaustion. ...Not that it really matters in this kind of place, I guess. Still, gotta admire hard work.

[Aaaah, not the eyes! NOTTHEEYES! She may not have been asking for more explanation, but... It was coming out anyway. One would question just why he was being this open with her. Perhaps it was merely her connection with Caren, or... he just felt the need to get this 'secret' off his chest.]

...Yes, I am. The means in which I was summoned in to the "Fifth" war, and how I remained in it through every repetition are completely different from any other servant. My supply of Prana was... from the Holy Grail itself.

[He would leave it at that, for now. If she wished to inquire any further, she had unspoken permission.]

And I have to thank you for that information. Here I thought I'd be stuck without a master again.

[Just smiling.] Ah, I'd prefer being busy to being idle. I'm much more fit than an average person, so there's that too.

[Well she knows Caren. Merem keeps picking on her and setting her body off and Ciel had to step in once THIS IS FUNNY HEADCANON OKAY And totally trustworthy... yep.]

...So your connection to the Grail is different from that of an average Heroic Spirit, even discounting the Counter Force that it is capable of calling forth. I've heard that the Grail has become tainted, however, so if you are directly linked to it... [A small frown as she crosses her arms, but she's not drawing any hasty conclusions yet.]

May I ask what connection you have with that corruption? [>Implying that he can turn the inquiry down. As interesting as this is, it's still admittedly not very much her business.]

You're welcome. Hm... I wonder if it's possible for a person to take on multiple Servants. [--A small shake of her head.] Well, that's just idle speculation. Regardless, I've learned quite a bit during my stay here, so if you have anything more to ask, please don't hesitate.

[By this point, it was probably easy for her to come to her own conclusions regarding his... connection. Only one name would really need to be said to seal the deal. And with a sigh, he'd finally let it escape.]

...Angra Mainyu. A spirit formed out of nothing but pure hatred and destruction. Well, it's not as if I'm the real deal, but the grail thought I was good enough, apparently. Rather, those who sealed me inside.

[Her eyes widen noticeably before she begins to murmur faintly under her breath. This name... It gives the chills just hearing it, and while it's nothing Christian, she was sure that she's definitely heard of it.]

Angra Mainyu? Hared and destruction, that's... [THINKING...]

[...OH]

The Devil in Zoroastrianism, the religion that was prominent in the Middle East during the earlier centuries, is it not? Then you are-- the physical manifestation of a powerful and potent curse, created by the will of mankind itself? ...Additionally, you were inside the Grail?

Something like that, yeah. It'd be a little more obvious if this damn place hadn't taken my tattoo seals away, I guess.

I'm really not sure when it actually happened, or for how long. I barely remember anything prior to becoming a servant in the false fifth war. Maybe the grail wiped most of my memories? All I really recall is that pain and the utter hatred that manifested. I don't know if it was coming from just me, or if the grail was trying to influence me.

So it affected your physique, too...

[She just stared; cool and critical, though the small frown at least made it so that her face kept its humanity, in contrast to the face of the emotionless killer that she occasionally had to wear.

Before she gives a long sigh and smiles.]

So then, would I be able to talk to Servant Avenger right now because this town has taken away his curse, or would you have been like this anyway, provided that... the circumstances are favorable?

[He couldn't say he really missed them, either. He was happy to look somewhat like his original form.]

See, that's the thing. Everyone's got me pinned terribly. Despite my history, I'm not all that bad of a guy. You can verify that with Caren and Bazett if you like.

...Well, if you've been under miss Caren, then I'll accept what you've said here in the house of God as truth. This will be enough as proof, and that's not an important topic to dwell on right now anyway. What's crucial is to get you used to this place, and make the best out of what you can in a world that's as messed up as here. Would you be okay with me seeing things that way, Avenger?
