I had a discussion with some friends about whether or not there is an afterlife. The general consensus was that most of us don't really know what to believe, but there were a few who insisted that Heaven exists because they can feel it.

And I feel differently-which is the problem with feelings. They are different for everybody, sometimes illogical, and are used to justify all sorts of bizarre and cruel behavior. Don't get me wrong. Feelings can be useful and I love having them, but I would never accept them as evidence that something exists.

I wasn't able to put into words why I couldn't accept their explanation behind their belief. I wouldn't usually want to, except they were insistent that it was proof that Heaven existed. I wish I was better at explaining my position without having to put a lot of thought into it.
