I'd like it to be a long, drawn-out one like in the past (because you know a few months ago was way "in the past...") but I desperately need a decent amount of sleep. I had a bit of deja vu when reading your recounting of your photo with Lyle and the "now, everybody say OOOOoOOOooOooO!", and I'm thinking that a friend of mine took the picture for you - he tends to hang out near the dugout before most games, and when I met up with him after the game, I mentioned the fact that you were in town. I'm pretty sure he said he took the picture, and he hoped that the "O" faces (OK, that sounds wrong) didn't look silly.
Congrats on getting the ball from Lyle! I've tried a few times, but alas, no luck. Most players only give the ball to a little kid, but he seems a little more open-minded - which I like, because with some players, it feels as though we can't be real fans if we're not 12-year-old boys.
Johnny Mac is awesome - one of the NICEST guys on the team, which is saying a lot. He was just made our starting shortstop earlier in the summer, when he'd only ever been a utility guy - and he seemed to be loving every minute of it.
(P.S. I do the hand shake thing too. And I'm an expert at the jibberish.)
