The first chapter will be about eight pages or so... I dunno how long the scene between Ahn'mara and Soma will be, but it'll be around that length. <3

And I shouldn't have mentioned liking the Fai Shen/Ahn'mara pairing last night. >___>;; My dirty muse got hold of that idea and has been poking me to put hints of it in the story.

I can't read it right now (as soon as I finish the college stuff, bed), but I will tomorrow. ^_^ Um, one thing I did notice just skimming it - you start a new paragraph every time a new person speaks. One of the first basic rules of formatting. =^^;;=

*doesn't format her stuff like that*

It's. It's just. Not optional. O.o You HAVE to start a new paragraph every time someone speaks.

No, seriously. The contest people will probably eliminate it immediately just on that point alone, if you submit it like that, so even if you don't NORMALLY use proper formatting, you'll want to do it like that for this story. Not to mention that I'm not sure I'm willing to read it without that formatting, because OUCH.

Format isn't really something I'm worried about at this point. ^^;; It's shoved aside with length. I can always take stuff out/reformat later. Content comes first.

adkghkld;aldkhl; *flails*

I mean, if you're going to format it properly later, I guess that's okay. As long as it gets formatted, because I like your writing, and I don't want you eliminated just because of improper formatting (and oh lord I have entered writing contests in my day and you would be). I'm just... brain-breakage at the thought of not starting out writing in normal format, I guess. =^^;;= Well, I've taken to doing this kind of paragraphing in my stuff:
"first paragraph
second paragraph"
instead of:
"     first paragraph
     second paragraph"
which is also not entirely properly formatting, but I do it because I "publish" all my stuff on the Internet so far, and that's easy to change back to the second format for printing and submitting anywhere.

So, um, as long as it's done up proper on paper so the judges will read your shiny, I guess I can't complain. ^_^ I'm just tired enough tonight that you broke my brain. Congratulations! ;D

*more flailing* Sorry, I messed up, the first-paragraph example was supposed to go:
"first paragraph

second paragraph"
like things look when I post them on my LJ. =^^;;= I am tired and cranky, s'all. And I want Casimiro to stop being so damned proud for a moment because it's hurting Severino to see him hurt himself like this, but that's another matter altogether.

Heh. I started out writing one liners, and then was dragged into writing the one-gigantic paragraph horse language. So... writing in more than one paragraph and having a paragraph that was NOT over 500 words is still a fairly new concept to me. ^^;;

If you're talking about indents and stuff, I'll do that on my MS word copy. I just did the paragraph //double line break// and then another paragraph because it's easier to do for HTML purposes. *nod nod*

I did try and do some reformatting. I can't promise you it'll be perfect, but if it makes it easier to read for j00 then s'all good. <3

paragraph //double line break// and then another paragraph
*nod* Yeah, 'zactly, that's what I do. And it's not hard to edit into the proper indented format if I'm showing this to anyone on paper. ^_^

And yes, looks MUCH more readable now. *snuggles* Thank you! Again, I can't actually read it tonight (i'm kindasorta sneaking online every 15 minutes or so because auugh college stuff not fun D:) but will ASAP tomorrow.
