[Mayu seems to be staring back as she flutters in place, After a moment, she approaches cautiously, lowering herself to Chitose's eye level.]

[Chitose looks around for anyone else, and, seeing no one, crawls forward a bit, daring to leave the closet. Just a little, though. The butterflies protect the village, right? So a butterfly would be safe.]

[Mayu keeps watch over the young girl, staying close enough while not getting in her way. Chitose was safe for the moment. Mayu didn't want her to be scared.]

[She'd do her best to protect Chitose, and the village. Cursed or not, that was her duty now.]

[After a while just watching the butterfly, Chitose finally took a few more hesitant steps. Maybe she should look around... Someone had to be here, right?]

[She doesn't think the butterfly will answer.]

[There were others here. Some Mayu knew. Some were complete strangers, but she hopes Chitose will be able to overcome her fears and trust them. They'll protect her from those that are unable to rest.]

[She watches the butterfly a moment longer, and then walks to the door of the room she's in, looking out uncertainly into the hall.]
