Francescu is Ken's, and Ken belongs to the boys, and Fran is also theirs so both boys would mafia for him. That's a given with all of their possesions (read:people). Like with Swift, Youji doesn't actively dislike Fran. He likes that Fran leaves them alone for the most part and doesn't really bug them, but would still play with Youji if he gets bored and watches over them. If Youji can't find Natsuo, or Natsuo's painting and he's bored, he'd probably seek Francescu out for amusement. The chess relaxes him and he doesn't know who else plays, and 'cause he can beat Francescu (he's twelve and likes to win, shush), but still have a good game. Francescu's interference when Youji gets into trouble is acknowledged but not appreciated, because he still wants to think they can stand on their own even if they can't. Also, the shattering of their battle-barrier when they were fighting Innocence was bad, but he got over it. Youji's slowly starting to understand that he can't always depend on Natsuo to fight for him and that he can't always understand how to deal with what's going on. But he will continue to try, because that's his role and once he loses it, he doesn't know what else to do.
