92 days of the odd remain

Musical interlude:

-when I was in elementary school, the choir I was in sang the national anthem, which was recorded then played every morning. Gods but do I hate the sound of my voice recorded. Was it ever fun getting to hear it every. damn. day.

-starting off in band class, we all listed instruments we wanted to try in order of desire. Nope, too many people want to be drummers. Same goes for trumpet. Your arms aren't long enough for trombone. Tuba, eh? Done.

-first day of band class itself, the lead flutist and I both managed to blackout from hyperventilating simultaneously. I don't recall how there wasn't a smashed child or tuba as a result.

-they switched me over to a baritone so that I wouldn't, you know, die. I got back to Tuba in highschool.

-I always had fun having "who is in control of the tempo" wars with the band's drummer.

-I ended up on my high school Jazz Choir entirely by a fluke. I had followed a crush to her practice, the choir director dragooned me into service. Ended up being one of the best things about high school. Further proof that it's better to be lucky then good.

-One of my favourite song samples is "Music... is my life".

-When I put my mind to it, I'm pretty damn good at the vocal parts of Guitar Hero and Rock Band.

-One of these days, I will succumb to my desire to join either a band or a choir.
