Hey guys, there's currently a good active Lineage 2 private server that I wanna tell you guys about! First off, for those who don't know what L2 is:

[b]What is L2?[/b]

LineageII is an MMORPG 3d environment, pure fast-paced and amazing MMORPG. It's a lot of PvP, PvE, levelling (for respect and bragging rights), and joining guilds. Some of the prelude screenshots are [url=http://www.lineage2.com/pds/official/screenshots.html?category=4#t1]here[/url]
Alright, there are four races - Elf, Dark Elf, Orc, Dwarf (it's not a race-war type of thing). You select which you want to be depending on how you like your character to be (ie, do you believe in speed over strength? Magic attack over physical?) - whatever, [url=http://www.lineage2.com/Knowledge/race_human_changejob.html]this[/url] will help you decide (full class/skill and summaries of races, and their classes so you can know what you want to be [I really recommend you do this before making a character].

The game has an amazing guild system - see, once you've leveled a bit, you're going to want to join a guild.

It starts off as you making your character, levelling, getting gear (weapons/armour) is key, and you can buy those either off other members or in the stores in town. You join guilds, you can do quests if you like (actually the only ones needed are at Lvl20/Lvl40 class change). The game has a huge map - it would take you like 8hours straight to get from one side to the next.

Now, back to those buying gear in stores - those stores are in towns, and the thing about it is every town has a castle. And every now and then, there are castle seiges - guilds fighting for the castle. Whatever guild wins gets the castle, and is the government in the town, and puts tax on the items (eg, if the guild decides a 12% tax, all things bought in stores there, 12% is added, and it goes to the guild).

[b]How to Connect[/b]

How to connect:

First, you have to have Lineage 2. I recommend you get and install [url=http://amazesoft.com]FlashGet[/url] first, then use that to [url=ftp://l2clientdownload.lineage2.com/Chronicle03/L2_C3_Installer.zip]donwload Lineage 2 (click)[/url]

You have to have your L2 patched. This can be done by running C:\Program Files\Lineage II\LineageII.exe

On a good cable/dsl, it should finish in less than a half-hour.

Then, go to C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc, edit your "hosts" file.

You can now connect. There is no registration page - it registers it as you login, so remember your name/pass.

It is best now, to start running L2 from C:\Program Files\Lineage II\L2.exe [make a shortcut to your desktop]

Known errors/FAQ:

[b]I get a gameguard error when trying to connect[/b].
Go to "system" in your Lineage 2 folder, delete the gameguard then connect.
