Overdue for an update
I don't like these broad, general updates. Hopefully I can find an apartment with free wifi, because that's the only internet I can afford.
I am currently at Common Grounds, watching people and relaxing. A little time to myself is my reward for going through another tattoo zap. One of these days, I'll be able to wear a plunging neckline...or even just a polo shirt! My tattoo is getting splotchy, which makes me happy. If only all teenage mistakes could be undone.
Hillary friended Stephen, which blew the lid off a huge can of worms: High school friends on Facebook. I spent all day at work yesterday stalking old acquaintances. It was like lifting up rocks and seeing what kinds of icky bugs crawled out. I was surprised to see that Ryan's still driving trucks (it's so solitary and he needs so much attention). Also surprised to see that Sarah is a divorced mom of a 6yo and Najin doesn't mention any kids or relationships. Very surprised to see a couple friends with huge potential still in Aurora. I saw that Steve has a Facebook (huge surprise, as he's a very private person), so I sent a friend request. No response so far.
I am so glad I'm not in high school or Aurora anymore.
Robin took a long distance transport to KS yesterday and got smited by golf ball size hail. It sucked having to look up where the ambulance was; and the closest 911 agency, hospital, auto glass repair (their windshield was fucked up), and motel while taking transfers and dispatching Admin while Phil was showing me pics of busted out windows and Eva was asking, "So, are you like totally freaking out because your brother's out there?"
My answer: "No, I don't fucing have time. Closest hospital is Lincoln in Hugo and I'll call about the windshield."
Soon it will be time to take Liz to the library. For now, though, it's chill time.
