Does exercise quell cravings for food the same way it does for alcohol? I mean, I know it results in genuine hunger, but I'd like to get rid of cravings for sweet things and refined flours.

Dirty secret: For the first time ever, I actually want to lose weight. It seems like a silly thing to want to do, since I'm smack dab in the middle of average as far as weight and BMI go. But all the extra I'm carrying is in my belly, which is a Bad Thing as far as cardiac risk factors go. Removing the belly would be awesome if I could do it.

I've already done quite a bit...no junk food or alcohol in the house, more whole foods, more veggies, fewer processed and low-fat foods, no pop ever, and regular exercise. I usually get enough sleep, too. So it's a little discouraging. Eating out is a problem, and so are occasions for heavy drinking.

Time to do more of the good stuff and less of the sedentary and processed stuff, I guess.
