Deserted...
My friends feed that is.
There was a time (ten years or so ago) when I'd log on, check my friends feed and scroll down dozens of posts from scores of friends. In those days LJ had a "previous ten" option so you could keep scrolling.
Then the owners sold it to a Russian company and friends stopped posting so much.
And LJ stopped the "previous" option, so you had to check individual friends' blogs to see all their posts if there were more than a couple.
And more friends stopped posting... facebook took a lot of them, other blogging platforms some others, and it didn't matter that the "previous" button had gone since it was rarely needed.
Then the Russian owners moved the site from the servers in the USA to servers in Russia. And even long-time LJ users - with paid accounts - abandoned ship.
And now when I check my friends feed there are no posts. None. For weeks - months even - at a time.
I miss the community we had. I miss my friends posts. And, especially at this time of year, I miss my friends.
