I DO NOT WANT YOUR STINKING PRODUCT!!!

advertisements for products such as clothing, cell phones, cars, and soft drinks do not belong in my video games. and it's something that's happening more and more. the burger king is coaching boxers in Fight Night: Round 3 from EA. billboards for nokia cell phones can be seen throughout all of new york city in Ultimate Spiderman. my urban sims in The Urbz can ride around in a honda element or get a quick pick me up from the numerous red bull vending machines. my sims in The Sims are now being offered a ford mustang and the latest fashions from H&M. stupid ads ruin everything from good tv to mediocre radio and now my freakin' awesome video games are suffering. it's one thing if espn makes a sports game and has their logo all over the place and it's another for the burger king to be anywhere near a damn video game let alone having a few.

PISSES ME OFF!!!

it just takes away from the gaming experience. i was so impressed swinging around in ultimate spiderman to see the detail they put into recreating new york city. it wasn't new york street for street, but it was pretty cool all the same to be swinging around central park and times square and the brooklyn bridge; web zipping from building top to top and swinging around corners fluidly and diving off skyscrapers to sling a web just a second before going SPLAT. you just sort of get lost in it. then as you swing by a billboard just after rushing an accident victim to the hospital you see it: nokia's latest cell phone as of the game's release. big huge billboard like any other in the real world that says "LOOK AT ME! i want to sell you things!" i was the one and only friendly neighborhood spiderman and now i'm back to the everyday and ordinary, the average run of the mill consumer, a dollar sign to somebody.
