The office in it's infinite wisdom decided to plot us for a Tuesday to Saturday schedule for three weeks starting the coming one, which gives us all pretty much four days to goof around and do nothing.
I think I started losing my mind day two.
There's just so much you can do at home. I wanted to drop by the school a couple of times but it turns out most of the people I know who are still in there have places to go. Now in my case, that's sort of a good thing seeing as I have to force myself to practice with the old sketchpad now that I actually have the TIME to draw.

In other news, I ran into a friend I hadn't really hung out with IRL for very long. She just broke up with this dude she'd been seeing for almost four years because of some crap I can't really mention here. Anyway, I managed to talk her out of her funk and convinced her not to do anything rash for a while. I never really saw the both of them breaking up, truth be told. They were like the campus sweethearts. Everyone expected they'd get married after graduation, maybe have a couple of kids, and live the perfect life in their perfect house with their perfect family and their perfect marriage.
Damn. Life sure has a way of breaking your delusions, doesn't it?
She'll not stop talking about the guy for a while methinks. And I think I'll have to endure a couple of more convos in YM about the breakup and things related to it. Which brings to mind a crack from Michelle a couple of months ago. "You'll end up counseling most of the goth girls in South Manila the rate you're going!" she laughs.
Why oh why couldn't she have been wrong that time?
long weekend
