Lily has been funny recently with ownership of words. For example she has trouble realizing that two people can see the same thing. So if we drive by the park and Ivy says "I see the park" Lily is sure to follow with "No Ivy, Me see the park". It always brings to mind the lyrics of Peter Gabiel's The Rhythm of the Heat "Smash the camera, cannot steal away the spirits". Anyway its something I'm working on but find pretty funny.
On the way to school:
---------------------
Ivy: I see a Dog
Lily: No, me see a dog.
(At this point I'm certain Ivy saw a dog out her window which Lily didn't see but hope to disarm the situation without them fighting about who really saw the dog. Ivy usually plays along here. So I'll pretend there are 2 dogs.)
I: Well maybe you both saw doggies. What color was the doggy?
Ivy: Dark Gold.
Lily: Purple.
I: Ooo, I like purple doggies.
Lily: No Daddy, Purple mine favorite. You Funny.
Oh yeah I forgot she also owns the color purple and all things that are purple. Nobody else can like the color purple it is hers. Ivy is lucky that her favorite colors are yellow and pink, otherwise her little sister might be inclined towards violence.
