Back at work
I'm back at work after my week's holiday. I was dreadfully tired this morning when I had to get up at 6.50. I always turn night into day on weekends and holidays and it's really hard to get back to falling asleep around midnight.
I'm re-reading "To Kill A Mockingbird" at the moment, because I'm forcing my students of advanced English to read it. I think it's a wonderful book but they don't seem so keen on it. I thought it was because the language was too difficult, but they say it's because there's not much happening in the book! O well, they have short attention spells and are used to a lot of action all the time.
The other book that I'm reading at the moment (just for my own amusement) is "The Naked Civil Servant" by Quentin Crisp. Great fun!
The annual Swedish book-sale starts tomorrow, but I've spent so much money on books lately that I will try to stay away. There was a title called "The Male Body" though. Apparently lots of nudes. Mmmm, sounds interesting.
