Read the story here ! UPDATE: now on AO3!

This was my first paperlegends as well as my first big bang and I very much enjoyed the experience! Thank you, Flake, for the wonderful story you created! As soon as I saw that you intented to join paperlegends this year, I had hoped to be your artist and read Merlin in your style. You did not disappoint ^^
I'm looking forward to some Hobbit fic! ;p
Many thanks to the_muppet for organizing this last PL!

On to the art:
Everything is digital art. (I apologise for my lack of a consistent style >_>)

The cover

This pretty much was the first idea that popped into my mind when I saw the summary of the story and that the Disir would be involved ^^' It honestly didn't change much from the first draft doodled on a piece of paper to the final version ^^

Merlin picking flowers in the forest

With aching caution, Merlin walked over to kneel by the bushy plant.  Careful to gather leaf and stem, he slowly tied several bunches with the string from his bag before tucking them within the mostly empty pack.  It filled some of the space but it was hardly the bulging bag to be expected from an afternoon of gathering herbs.

Arthur, Merlin as Dragoon and a mysterious girl named Freya...

The sorcerer's eyes lidded.  Slowly he raised his hand, palm upward and fingers spread in the manner of an offering, before his chest.
Light glowed in the gentle cradle of his hand.  A pale blue white that swirled slowly, expanding and turning to form a perfect sphere.

A sphere Arthur had seen before.

Dragoon turned to Freya, an encouraging smile on his face.

The girl's eyes were wide.  She glanced at Arthur fearfully but her eyes were drawn back inexorably to the glowing ball of light in Dragoon's hand.

Annnd the chapter/pov separators!

One chicken of destiny to rule them all! XD

I'm now in need of a long long rest (except Tuesday's my second posting date, why, oh why T_T).
