I really like 'The Civil War: the complete works' soundtrack. The chorus and counterharmonies are reminiscent of Les Mis . . . . 'Xanadu' musical is finally growing on me . . but it doesn't connect well with 'Kubla Khan'. Watched the music video for Lisa Hannigan's 'I don't know' and worked out that she sings 'I am game' *not* 'I am gay'. So, er, how embaressing as I've been crooning it loads.
Really behind on my project. Need to find my soil zen. Clearly.
Went out last night, ended up meeting up with Ls friends for drinks. But felt so uncomfortable when they started criticising people's clothes and dancing. I'm proud to be a Geordie, so y'know, the in 'London we . . . ' vibe annoyed me. Pointed out that *my* dress was only to mid-thigh. Lol, they protested that they liked my dress . . . but, um, somehow I don't think we connected.
I had to tack the dress and belt it to make it fit. It looks like a drapped halterneck at the back now, provided no one looks too closely at my stitching. Unfortunately the jersey fabric seems quite cheap so I'm a bit worried it's going to bobble in the wash. In which case it's out for the wedding - but I'm hopelessly confused about what to wear.
