The US government felt it necessary to play with really big fireworks and shoot a satellite down this week. The justification being that hydrazine could have leaked out and caused a hazard. Really?! Hmm... I'll let the conspiracy theorists discuss that one. My personal opinion as an armchair astronomer is this is not only a ludicrous waste of money, a little bit two-faced and potentially very hazardous to other orbiting satellites. I really hope this isn't the beginning of a space race involving weapons.
Other space stuff, I missed the lunar eclipse due to low cloud cover. Bleh.
The car is not costing me as much in Gas as I feared, it's actually getting better gas mileage than advertised. Probably because we're both going easy on the accelerator and most of our travelling is on the highway.
