Summary: Chase tells Cameron to get House out of her system. She tries to, the only way she knows how.

Since their hotel was on the edge of the beach, Cameron decided to spend part of the next day soaking up some sun. The conference and banquet was planned to start at five pm, so they all had the day to waste.

She chose to wear her black bikini and pulled a pair of denim shorts on over it. She grabbed a towel, sunscreen, her sunglasses, and a book. She slid her feet into a pair of sandals and threw her blonde hair up into a clip. Hoping for some peace and quiet, she didn't tell anyone where she would be.

She felt the intense heat of the sun as soon as she stepped outside, causing her to buy a bottle of water on the walk to the beach. She picked out a nice spot a good ways away from all of the families with kids. There were lounge chairs on the beach, with umbrellas over them for shade, but Cameron passed them and spread her towel out to lay on the sand. She put her things on the edge of the towel and pulled her shorts off.

“I guess I picked a good spot.”

She looked up to, yet again, see House, this time sitting in one of the lounge chairs about 15 feet away from her. The shade from the umbrella had stopped her from noticing him at first. He was wearing board shorts and a ridiculous yellow Hawaiian shirt.

“Nice shirt.” She said sarcastically, extremely annoyed that he seemed to be everywhere she went.

“Nice ass.” He replied.

She rolled her eyes behind her sunglasses and sat down on her towel, her back to him. She tried to ignore him as she began putting sunscreen on her arms, but she could feel him watching her. After she finished with her other arm, she glanced over her shoulder to see that she was right. “Don't be a pervert; stop watching me.”

“Need help with any of the hard-to-reach places?” He asked, quirking an eyebrow.

“No.” She said bluntly, and went about putting sunscreen on the rest of her body.

She hated the fact that, even though he was annoying the hell out of her, she still wanted his attention. Every time she wondered where he was in the hospital or what he was doing, she wanted to slap herself.

Grabbing her book, she laid down on her stomach, facing House so that he wouldn't be staring at her ass the whole time they were on the beach. She had barely gotten past the first few pages of her book when she was interrupted.

“A romance novel?” House asked, amused.

“Must you criticize everything I do?” She asked, looking up to glare at him.

“I do enjoy it.” He replied.

Rolling her eyes, she put her book down. The sun was getting to be too hot so she got up and made her way to the water. It felt cold when the water first touched her feet, but it provided much needed relief when she went out far enough to dunk herself under the surface. She pushed her hair back as she came up and then wiped her hands across her face to get the water off from around her eyes and mouth. As she returned to her towel, she glanced ahead to see House watching her. She bit back a smirk. When she got to her towel, she laid down on her back to try to get a tan going on her chest, stomach and legs. She bent one knee up and put her hands behind her head.

There was no doubt in her mind that House was getting restless back there in his lounge chair. The fact that she was frustrating him with the display of her body really was making her visit to the beach even more worth while.

“Allison!”

She groaned inwardly when she heard Chase approaching. She didn't acknowledge him until he was standing next to her, his shadow blocking the sun from her eyes. “Hey, what's up?” She greeted him.

“I've been looking for you everywhere.” Chase said.

“I've been here the whole time.” She replied, closing her eyes again.

“Why didn't you tell me where you were going?”

“You're not my dad; I wasn't aware that I had to tell you where I would be.”

Chase rolled his eyes. “Let me know when you're not in a bad mood.” He said and walked away, not even noticing House there.

Cameron sighed. She did feel bad about taking her frustrations out on Chase, but some things about him really did annoy her, deep down.

Maybe the fact that he wasn't House?

“Trouble in paradise?” House asked.

She didn't need to look at him to know that he was grinning. Frustrated even more, she grabbed all of her things and left the beach, ignoring House when she passed him.
