i've got a brand new attitude

The Unseelie half of the year begins, and it's time to turn over new (fallen) leaves. I'm done writing entries about you-know-what for now, I promise, and again, thanks to you guys for your support and sympathy. Last night was the first night where I went out and really had a good time in the past few weeks, and that makes Pookas happy.

I did the angel get-up again... I feel like I do it too often, but I like to feel attractive for Halloween. And this time I did the Sharpee tattoos (with a little help from mafia_bartender... thanx roomie!), everything from sefirot to Mage references to the Gnostic cross. Note: pink Sharpee is much harder to wash out than black. We got an extra hour of dancing thanks to Daylight Savings, so technically I staggered in at only 3:30 instead of 4:30. And I went to bed without washing out the hair spray or eyeliner, so when I woke up this morning I looked and felt like a rainbow had puked all over me. I consider this a job well done. Hope everyone had a happy Halloween framed by a blessed Samhain, which is looking pretty rainy today... I am curious to hear what youse did!

So now, November. NaNoWriMo begins today, as does the Poem-a-Day challenge (though their website is down... nooo). I made one of my chart-things of stuff to do daily (or semi-daily; I was a good student and included homework on this one), so we'll see if I actually manage to make a good dent in it. Today's Do or Die list (concept borrowed from jedi_bria): do Variation homework, clean up messy room, write a poem or two, begin novel writin', study some Arabic, buy a grocery or three, apply to three internships, and work on field notes for Ethnography. Fingers crossed!

God, I am ready to tear this construction paper planet to shreds.
