McDonalds Monopoly

I was having this conversation with someone about the ridiculousness of the McDonalds Monopoly game and how its silly for me to even save these things. After all, the only time we ever eat at McDonalds is Sat or Sun morning because we met up with all the cousins etc for breakfast. Years ago before there were so many kids, we would meet at Perkins, ihop or other related breakfast establishment. However, with 14 total people - 7 of whom are kids its just to nuts and to expensive. Now we get together at McDonalds and its just easier.

Its actually fairly ironic because I never eat anything, the kids all share one breakfast big meal with a side of pancakes and K usually gets some kind of sandwich on a biscuit so its certainly cheap in the realm of eating out with the extended family.

Anyhow, back to Monopoly. The kids love hash browns...the only breakfast food that seems to have the pieces so I do have several in a ziploc baggy. It seems silly because I know I won't win. OTOH, I can't bring myself to throw them out....just in case.

Its just a big scam seeing as they distribute the matches across the country so it is practically impossible to get a big win. For example, I have three sets of the same two rairoads and two Indiana Avenues. That's fairly typical. I also have a Park Place. My bet is that Park Place is distributed to NY Metro and the one or two Broadway matches are distributed to say...Montana.

Anyhow, here's the game pieces I have (excluding the many multiples)...

Railroads
Pennsylvania
Reading

Lt. Blue
Oriental
Connecticut

red
Indiana

orange
St. James

blue
Park Place

We did win two free breakfast sandwiches which is great because that is what K eats! ;-)
