When will the rain stop? When?
At least it's not apocalyptic flooding again (we had so much fun running around the house moving surge protectors, plug strips, and electronics to high ground).
This morning was Quilt Committee so we had fun talking colors and flowers (Texas Wildflowers is the theme for this year), then we all went to one of the ladies' homes for lunch. Wow. Most of the ladies on Quilt Committee are retirees, and they are very cute, and man they have nice homes. At lunch we all sat down and the hostess said, "So, Keri, give us a little biography." We didn't get much past the Vassar years, but it was a fun conversation. Also, they had me say grace since I was the minister in the room. :)
Now I'm ransacking my father's CD collection to expand my iTunes list, and sitting in the office listening to both parents' discussing the casualty report from Iraq.
My mother reads the biographies of the dead on CNN every day.
