So, last week I had a great time driving down to King of Prussia, PA with Michelle. I had the opportunity to visit with lots of fantastic folks down near Philly, as well as doing some fun work of my own while Michelle was at her conference.
I also spent some quality time examining my plans for the future. Not that I'm not always doing that to some extent, but it was especially good to discuss it with the PA crowd.
Sunday Donna and Jon and I went out for sushi for Donna's birthday. Jon and I took a stab at the Party Boat, but we were sunk, alas, this time. It was a very close thing, but in the end, there were still some veggie tempura left drifting on the deck.
Today I made the rounds of the UN, seeking the NGO offices under the library. It was a fascinating journey, for sure - I have to use the 46th Street staff entrance, not the south gate, so I had to walk the entire length of the complex to get to the right elevator. It was pretty cool, actually. There are a lot of security checkpoints, though. That shouldn't be so surprising, really. It's the UN. Duh. My errand was successful, at any rate, and then I spent a pleasant hour in Union Square park with some coffee and Izze, writing and reading graphic novels (Fables - wonderful stuff).
I also made it into the new Union Square
Trader Joe's. Basically my entire motivation for that trip was to get a canister of their Chai Latte mix, but I was very pleasantly surprised by their store, and picked up a few other things since I was there. They even have a pretty good selection of cheeses. Yay!
And now, it is time to address some of my mail. I have let it pile up to the point that it's beginning to be a health hazard, here. Heh.
