So, Bradley James was so impressive in this latest episode of Merlin. (Colin was, too. And Tony. Good grief.) But man, Bradley. Amazing.
At this point, I am just floored that Arthur is still moderately sane. Oh, his issues. And knowing the writers want to follow most of the legends means that everyone really will end up betraying him at one point or another. God, I just feel so much for him, in reaction to the things that have already happened, and in anticipation of the future.
And Bradley has really owned the screen this series. Such talent.
I loved this one. So many beautiful notes played, including Morgana when she finds out. That was lovely - understated, sober, and melancholy. Lovely. Arthur's grief was palpable. Merlin was both hilarious and tragic. I found myself laughing out loud over and over again, then practically crying. The balance was delicate, but I thought it really worked.
Also, I made art for it, speed painting for the
camelot_fleet spoiler party.
It's rated PG, mostly for angst.
