break in events
So here I am taking a decompression break while the lovely Aussies sleep. They came in early this morning and had no sleep, and bravely endured a morning and afternoon of walking and tea and snacks with me and my friends.
I had the chance to hang out a bit with Ali M, as well, which was great. I wish I had more time this trip to just be social, but I have promised myself a visit to NYC not during any major holidays when I can just hang out with people.
E and I are going to be off again later for a late dinner with Amie and Brendan, who will hopefully be better for their naps, and then ready to sleep and face their first day of heavy touristing. I am getting up early tomorrow to get to Newark for my flight, so we'll probably make a relatively early night of it since we all will be tired and needing sleep.
I have had an excellent time this trip, really. I do miss NYC very often, and I think sometimes that it's 90% the people that I really miss - so getting to run up here and see all the familiar beloved faces is great.
