What is the Hoffman Challenge?

It's a cash-prize juried show organized by Hoffman Fabrics company, using one of their fancy prints as the theme. Quilts, dolls, accessories, and clothes are all allowed.

They have the new fabric up on a PDF now, and they usually list retailers around the country that carry their prints. (Or you can order online)

I was shopping in one of the booths and the two owners were talking with one of the customers. The gist of their conversation was that many people who say they really are voting for Obama aren't, because of his race and fear of his "friends". It's been too many hours in-between then and now (and way too many sneezes, I turned out to be highly allergic to the quilt show, bizarrely) so I can't remember exactly what it was,but they went somewhere utterly offensive right after that (I was trying to ignore them up to that point) and they looked really really odd when I just straightened up, said "OK, THAT does it" and left. Wonder if they were only selling to Republicans?

I wonder if the opposite happened to a stall owner we were talking to - we were having a very energetic conversation about Women's Rights and Childbirth and I think a few people moved on without stopping.
But it may have been just because we were monopolizing the owner even after our transaction was obviously concluded.

Mom didn't get punched or screamed at, so that was good. Most people who stopped to talk were supporters.
