fantastic insults

Jul 20, 2007 13:31

Oh, readers of LJ, I need some creative insults for shapeshifters to call people what are stuck in a single form their whole lives (e.g. humans).
And while we're at it, how about some that go the other way?

Don't be shy!

I am stuck on one from Douglas Adams: "Filthy rotten stinking samelings." ;)

"Talk about a one trick pony -- AHAHAHAHAHAHAA!"

"Oh, *that* old boyfriend of mine? What a boring basement dweller. He loved his mother so much he wouldn't give up the shape she gave him at birth. Well, he kind of did. Basically he just swelled."

--

"No matter what shape you shift to, Precious, you'll always be a cow to me."

what about if the derision comes from shapeshifters' mindset that normal people could shift, but are too stubborn:

stone-for-bone

Or take simple everyday words, but have them become doubled in meaning (remember, "gay" used to mean happy!!!)

stubborn
small-minded
skin-bound
skin-prisoned

also- bland, ordinary.

And then that would create, also a cultural construct among the shapeshifters where they would favor brighter clothes, spicier food, a more exuberant style, or the ones who are really trying to put their identity as shapeshifters in the foreground (think shapeshifter-pride as an idea)

Static, ie: "what else can you expect from a static?" dripping with derision, of course.
