tarot musings & dangerous hobbies

Last night was my tarot discussion group, and I volunteered to present about The Devil. (We're going through the Major Arcana in order, three cards a night.) The guy who was going to present Temperance contacted me on Monday to say he was sick, and could I do both. So I said sure.
We had some awesome discussion, about a tarot convention in New York, about group planning, and then about the cards: Death, Temperance, and The Devil.
It was so much fun. And I was totally brilliant. I surprised myself. These cards are just amazing, and each session our organizer makes xeroxes of lots of different decks for comparison. Incredible some of the insight that comes out of those sheets.

When I got home, after gushing about the great session, I retired to my room to read. I ended up back on the ole MOO for a bit, strangely enough, and really enjoying it. Oh, danger, danger on the horizon! Really I'm planning a few character illustrations, but still, there's something about the MOO that's different from other games and writings. I just have no interest in visual gaming of the same sort, you know?

Oh, well. As long as it doesn't eat up all my writing time we'll be fine. I had some great ideas, did a reading for Kate, and then this morning got to my office to find email full of brainstorming. Yay!

Except for the lousy weather, this is starting out as a great day! (And the weather, let me just say, is lousy with a capital flash-flood-warning and heavy lightning storm.)
